Only 1 person in the whole study went from identifying as trans to not identifying as trans. The 1/5 number came from youth going between the binary and non-binary spectrum.

This headline and post are misleading on purpose to fit the economist's editorial bent on the political issue.
A recent study found that children who transitioned young retained stable gender identities over time. But the fact that nearly a fifth of those in the group did not ought to give advocates of irreversible medical interventions pause
How stable are the gender identities of younger children?

Kept wondering when I’d read a news article comparing the number to recent demos…
Reminder that 100,000 people marched for Trans Pride in London earlier this year, but because they weren't violent fascists, there was minimal press coverage, unlike the Nazis today.

It is so hard for women in the UK to avoid being pushed into medicalised births and for experts to blame this on more “older and obese” women having pregnancies is abhorrent.
Predictable, but abhorrent.

By far the best proposal I’ve seen for resolving the Thames Water scandal
Nationalise Thames Water without compensation and prosecute the previous board for corruption
So apart from wanting to be exempt from environmental laws and to have any current or future fines wavered @thameswater
now also want the right “to raise prices at any time before 2030”.

1. It’s good to see this scandal being called out at last. My thanks and congratulations go to Lee Schofield, Karen Lloyd and Ian Convery. But it’s also absolutely infuriating that it has come to this point, as I explain in this thread.

When was the last time you quaffed? Back in the day we were quaffing concoctions, elixirs, potions, flagons of mead, goblets of steaming hot blood, you name the liquid someone was quaffing it. Heartily.

Nobody quaffs anymore, and you can really fucking tell.
