Finally, this story was written by @chloeneast.bsky.social. She studies access to SNAP, and explained how new work requirements will work. This piece holds a special piece in my heart because John Oliver highlighted it in Last Week Tonight. donmoynihan.substack.com/p/what-aei-g...

Copaganda 101: the New York Times suggests without evidence (and contrary to actual polling evidence) that “left-leaning views” on public safety “have become less popular.” It’s a neat sleight of hand where the news doesn’t actually tell us what those mystery positions are.

Children of a Lesser DOGE

Ketamine cowboy Elon’s altered states have put a big chill on the federal government. But it’s not exactly broadcast news that there was no body heat involved with the conception of his kids.

You will never succeed at fighting right wing disinfo with facts. Right wingers believe the first thing they hear & they'll believe it for life. They'll fight to the death about some inconsequential bullshit they just heard 5 seconds ago. You beat them by calling them weird assholes & isolating them

In a statement, Colorado Democratic Party chair Shad Murib calls for reforming the vacancy process. Two vacancies already coming - Hansen and Buckner - and a sizable share of the legislature (including Hansen) got seats via this process.
New: State Sen. Janet Buckner, an Aurora Democrat, is resigning. Buckner just won a second term in the Senate (she ran uncontested). Like Sen. Chris Hansen, her resignation will be effective Jan. 9.

This account is almost brand new and I'm already blocked by an NPR personality (comedian, not journalist, which makes it worse!) for a terrible take on the modern austerity of American life.

It's not hard: give people a chance at a dignified life, and they will work hard and thrive.
