We all know this was not about drugs.

Next.
MacCALLUM: You have about 100,000 dying from drug overdoses, most of those drugs from from Venezuela and other places

CROW: That's actually not true. The majority of the deaths by drugs in America are the result of meth and fentanyl. Almost none of that comes from Venezuela

I wrote this only last week, after saying that Trump seems about to wage war on Venezuela. It seems pretty relevant to what transpired today.

UK and Europe *must* reduce our dependence on America and its technologies as rapidly as we can.

Everyone should know about this.

It is part of Trump's Venezuela invasion.

These are the real victims of Trump's unending crimes, as always its everyday people.
The New York Times has just confirmed that 40 civilians died in President Trump's invasion.

Incidentally, as far as messaging and strategy, pretty much anytime we test a process argument (i.e. they didn't follow the rules) it is less convincing & far less galvanizing than outcome argument (i.e. it's going to result in this fucked up evil) with voters. Yes, swing voters too.

Whether you're in Chicago or Caracas or Kyiv, people should have freedom from military invasion whether the aggressor is foreign or domestic. But once again this regime is destroying lives to seize more power & hand more money to its billionaire backers.

Bombing another country and kidnapping its leader would also be wrong with Congressional approval. The outrage, and call for impeachment, should be over the evil and illegal outcome not merely the failure to follow the prescribed process.

Millions of us clearly see Trump and his regime as criminal, destructive and cruel. We rightly want to see him out of power & into prison. Yet we would view invasion, bombing & capture of the president by foreign power as horrific & totally illegal.

How are voters meant to understand how serious things are if in lieu of shouting fire AND going into building with hoses, you're simply posting fire safety suggestions on social media?
Not introducing articles of impeachment is a message that Trump hasn't committed impeachable offenses.

All without a single National Guard soldier.

What makes our communities safer are local people and programs doing the hard work of mitigating too much concentrated poverty and far, far too many guns in circulation.

Get rid of the poverty and the guns and violence would plummet.
