Traffic lights in Copenhagen are synchronised so a rush-hour cyclist at 20km/h can catch green lights all the way.

“It’s so important to have the freedom on a bike to just ride along at a good speed… You can feel the city wants you – and supports you – going on a bike.”
‘It’s the best feeling’: how Copenhagen gave cyclists a green wave

When I presented the Sunshine Bill to Parliament in January, ministers promised to bring proposals soon. Today, they’ve been true to their word. Soon, all new homes will include solar energy generation by default, saving people money on bills and cutting carbon emissions too. It’s a win-win.

Ali France just became the first person to unseat an opposition leader at an election. Despite Peter Dutton’s fear-mongering and culture wars that strategically and deliberately harm minorities, Australians didn’t buy it. And a woman with a disability showed him the door.

I'm really sorry, but we just need to stop doing this. Your wood-burning hygge leads directly to people's deaths - other people's and perhaps your own.

Some in Labour HQ may want to reflect on this - here’s a policy which has drastically improved air quality, benefitting the poorest citizens. But Starmer’s LOTO started criticising it because a couple of Clarkson bigmouths complained in focus groups & they (wrongly imho) blamed it for Uxbridge loss

From laggards to leaders, Australia’s NEM is surging ahead with massive growth! ⚡ Battery power up 4,200%, storage 7,300% in 1-2 years (RenewMap). It’s truly a transformative moment for the energy sector! Nuclear fantasies left in the dust. Just need compelling EV utes to seal the deal! 🌞🔋 #EV #BESS

New DfT transport & environment data shows that in 2022 domestic transport accounted for 28% of total domestic emissions in the UK, up 2% on 2021. Cars and taxis account for the bulk of those emissions.

It's lower than 2019 but going the wrong way and well off track for 2030 committments.

I addressed the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee's session on retrofitting homes for net zero.

Households want to see that the benefit to installing heat pumps, solar panels or insulation is a reduction in energy bills. This is what our Warm Homes Plan will deliver.
