Ex Flaming Lips members should form a band like ex Hawkwind members, Flaming Lords or something. And play a pub near me.

Last night's film, HELLISH FLESH. The nastiest plot of the José Mojica Marins films I've seen. Enjoyed this bit of borrowed horror imagery though.

Some sort of boiler at the Black Country Living Museum today. A sort of time machine.

I figured this was coming but still sad to see - end of an era. He made records with the Lips that I count as all-time favourites.

Do my eyes deceive me or is Hüsker Dü's 1985 live album not on The Quietus Reissues Etc. list today? The accumulated power of this set is off the scale.

Last night's film, DEATH BY HANGING. Lives up to its reputation. A critique of Japan's attitudes to corporal punishment that mocks the authorities. Blackly humorous and absurd but makes serious points.

Looking at the cricket score, I think I'll stay in bed. Suspect the England team might want to join me (ooh er).

I bought the soundtrack to a film I haven't seen. A slippery slope.
