just saw a part time curator job for 20k a year in central London. tbh it’s at the point now anytime a cultural institution advertises a role they may as well just say “those who require a salary to live need not apply”. every year it gets worse, and we’re seeing how arts and culture suffers for it!

“… researchers publish too many useless papers and … we aren’t flexible enough to abandon declining subjects where little new can be learned. … [A]fter reaching a critical mass, research communities become self-perpetuating due to the emotional and financial interests of those involved.”

Historians should be very concerned about this!
Parliament and Hansard have removed “We are all Palestine Action” from my speech on Wednesday 2 July 2025 — despite me saying it.

This is a blatant attempt to censor me and rewrite the record.

This is not how a democracy behaves.

We will not be silenced.

Well-paid liberal “attack dogs” of democracy like Heather Cox Richardson proved to be all too willing to turn to Democratic Party apologia—especially on Gaza.

David Lammy just visited Israel to meet foreign minister Gideon Sa’ar.

They discussed “Syria, Lebanon and the Iranian threat” and Lammy reportedly invited Sa’ar for an official visit to Britain.

Lammy should be investigated for complicity in war crimes.

Musk has incinerated the value of Twitter as a business or user experience. The reason why Zuckerberg is copying his lead is that the true value of these information systems is political.
Facebook will also "get rid of a bunch of restrictions on topics like immigration and gender that are just out of touch with mainstream discourse," Zuckerberg says.

And the U.S.-based content review teams will be based in Texas, not California, going forward
