Crypto guys who said "Bitcoin is recession-proof" never considered what would happen in practice.
When recreational Bitcoin holders had real money evaporate, it caused them to pull money out of the imaginary money market and into real cash to buy real things, causing a crash.
In short: Duh-doy.
