It is with deep sadness that BlueRights shares that a dear BlueRights member, Professor Steven Haines, has passed away. Professor Haines was an active member of BlueRights and a pioneer in human rights at sea research, who dedicated much of his career to protecting human rights at sea. (1/2)

1700 Israeli academics, including Nobel laureates, university presidents, provosts and deans send a clear message to Israeli government: do not pursue the population concentration plan in Gaza, as this is immoral, and would constitute a war crime and a crime against humanity.

Stockholm district court will issue judgment 11 February, 11.00 CET on charges for genocide, crime against humanity and grave war crime. The defendant is indicted for keeping 9 Yezidi women and children detained as slaves and for beating them.
Stockholms tingsrätt avkunnar dom 11 feb, kl. 11.00 i mål om folkmord, brott mot mänskligheten & grov krigsförbrytelse. Tilltalad åtalad för att hållit 9 yazidiska kvinnor & barn fångna i sin bostad i Raqqa i Syrien som slavar, samt misshandlat flera av dem.
