Don’t just divide $722K by your weekly grocery bill and think that’s how many families this will hurt. Multiply it by 5 or 10. Could these monsters actually manage to be any more contemptuous of the poor?

The anti science, or even more broadly, anti expertise agenda is going to be the final blow in the end of the American dynasty, and most Americans will usher it in with a “Take that, nerd.”
What these nihilistic vandals are doing to dismantle science & medicine—generations of expertise & public service & life improving benefits—is cultural revolution level national self harm. No foreign foe could inflict such brutal damage & senseless suffering on US so fast & effectively & unresisted.

My fear is that this was inevitable from the rise of the internet. With first the world’s knowledge and later the world’s misinformation in one’s pocket, everyone becomes an expert on everything, and therefore no one is more expert than anyone else, despite years of training and experience.
