The circumstances of this fatal crash are absolutely horrific and heartbreaking. I read every MPD press release on fatal traffic crashes, and this is one absolutely broke me. 💔😭
my goodness. someone on new york ave was killed by a driver hauling a tank post-army parade. a woman literally died for this useless excess.

Whenever I hear someone say they *need* a big SUV, I think of all the things I’ve hauled in our Honda Fit: flooring, furniture, so much mulch. Today: cargo bike.

Twice as many children die in car crashes than from all pediatric cancers combined. This does not count the long term health effects of breathing exhaust, brake and tire particles or the loss of physical activity and independence from living in a world hostile to traveling outside of a car.
