i wonder what would be happening right now if monumental finished the virginia arena deal and actually had an agreement with the state. would alexandria city have acquiesced? would dc have gone along with the teams playing cap one for another 5 years? would the commanders stadium plan still be on?

i mean, obviously we are not having elections in dc today. but these off-year elections in other states will hopefully give us a small status update and signal where we might go next to move forward.
