Sky getting jiggy again today. Saw an owl flying off in the dusk, Venus shining bright in the west and the madness of these lenticulars (last shot) behind.
Stacked lenticular clouds over the Sangre de Cristo range of the Rocky Mountains. There's a contrail coming out of (or going into) the top left side. Caught a pretty nice meteor last night, December 26, 2024 at 8:22pm MST at Crestone, Colorado USA

That airglow is pretty wicked too. The full timelapse is coming.

A brilliant pink-purple meteor streaks down top left, about 1/3rd of the frame. It has a terminal flash. The sky is dark maroon on the left merging to purple on the right, and orange below. There's an epic shelf cloud sitting over the mountains, reflecting light pollution from the Colorado Springs area.
