How do you get to be a senator when you are this stupid? There are no "NATO dues", so there's no one to pay anything to. The 2% was always a non-binding aspirational guideline. There is no pool of NATO funds everyone pays into - it is all domestic spending - so who would you "pay" it to? #cdnpoli

Very true, but the Democrats are just as much to blame for this result, as they have pushed to dumb down standards for generations. The result is a poorly educated nation where many lack any sort of foundation in civics, history, or reasoning, and are susceptible to propaganda and disinformation.
