I suggest viewer discretion when deciding whether to watch the video in this article. It is stomach churning to watch.
I cannot fathom how anybody could possibly think this is justice in this situation. The lives of cyclists are of so little value in the justice system. 😡

"People need to see the human cost of collisions": Cyclist who suffered life-changing injuries shares camera footage of horrific high-speed crash caused by van driver

Musk should be asked about this in every interview he does now and forever. To ignore it is a dereliction of duty.

It’s been four and a half years since the Government consultation on banning pavement parking with still no outcome.

“For most people, being pushed into the road to walk around cars is not nice. But for some, that is literally putting them off leaving the house.”

If you think this can’t happen, remember that of the 125,000 Japanese Americans who were interned during WWII for years without charge or trial, two-thirds were U.S. citizens. Including me.

We should stop using, "he has a point" when we actually mean, "somewhere in that incoherent ramble full of insane demands and wild allegations was something that could be a legitimate grievance if expressed completely differently by a mature and emotionally stable adult."

Never mind spending millions shaving seconds off drivers' journeys. The complexity of working out how not to spend £££ on a train ticket, while travelling with a bike, can waste hours. I discovered it's cheaper to pay to stay over the night before, and somehow my ticket was less on MS Edge vs Chrome

This is apparently a hill I will die on:

Compilers MUST have a command line option to output their ASTs / understanding of a project in JSON, YAML, or XML (🤢)

Understanding a toolchain's internal understanding of your code is critical for both using, and building upon, that toolchain.

Starmer should get the Russia Report released in full. Show the apathetic UK public exactly what's been going on.
Broadcast on primetime TV John Sweeney's excellent documentary on Johnson at Lebedev's party villa in Italy.
Leave no doubt in people's minds what the tories have enabled.

Stop Musk from funding far-right politics in the UK!

I just signed this petition 'Tighten the rules on political donations' - it's nearly at 30,000 signatures - can you add your name too? -

Petition: Tighten the rules on political donations
We want the government to: Remove loopholes that allow wealthy foreign individuals to make donations into UK political parties (e.g. by funnelling through UK registered companies). Cap all donations ...

If I die in a collision, I hope the relevant agency spends more on redesigning the road or the junction, than deciding who is to blame. I think every fatal collision should come with at least speed reduction on the road while they rethink how the design should be changed.

At some point in 2023 we crossed a milestone: since records began in 1926 in the UK, there have been over half a million road deaths.

500,000 people gone.
