Do you think Apple will seek to fix the initialisation issue by switching @State to be a macro? (Assuming they could even do that)

Ah yes, the age old question of where “off-topic” bugs go when redirected from Swift forums to the main Apple forums.

The bin, they always* go in the bin.

Just like the sanitiser, I’d expect to be informed in the console.

More of a debug feature, similar to Xcode’s main thread sanitiser. No need to have it on all the time.

Bit of an aside but I’d love GC to be added to Swift just to catch those pesky retain cycles. It would certainly be a handy feature for iOS simulator builds where memory is less of an issues.

I’m more sympathetic to the BBC as both Amber and Luis were replacements (Amber being very late).

I think after 20 odd series the public are pretty good at factoring in previous experience and giving preference to “the journey”.

Fixed because the public (including me) are biased towards dance newbies on a journey?

The police give you feedback?! Hampshire go to quite some lengths to do the exact opposite, at least for road crimes.

I’ve long suspected that when drivers say “I saw nobody” they actually mean “I saw A nobody”.

It’s frustrating trying to keep track of all the individuals needlessly killed on the roads. I had to make my own but it’s just too harrowing to read all the cases before logging them, especially the children.

I’m glad it’s been renewed for another season. I agree it would be shame if it just slipped into darkness never to return.

Have you seen E10 yet?

The two dickheads in question appear to be one man and one woman. Given this you should be in the clear, assuming your boss deserves it of course.

xkcd rule damn it, not a “docs” rule 🤦🏻‍♂️
August 21, 2025 at 9:53 AM
Someone should create a sixth Red Dwarf quote site using the SRT files pulled from iPlayer. However that might mean changing the bulb on something and would break some docs rule, so probably best not.

With noting that the B in this case is the actual patient, not the road outside the building containing the patient.

Those bikes will fit in many office lifts so all that gear can be taken right up to where it’s needed.

I thinking they’re confusing causation with causation there.

Feels like the opposite of the popular but stalled pavement parking ban. And also the stalled electric scooter legislation. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I wonder if those permits were valid for a trailer 🤔

Interesting that she said “OUR police officers” (emphasis mine).

I mean, they probably all say that, but I suspect most politicians of old meant it in a very different way.

Don’t forget Center Parcs, a place drivers go to have a holiday from themselves, but then still freak out when their children walk in the “road” because a car might *still* come along.
