I went to this exhibition at Leeds Central Library today. Well worth a visit. I enjoyed reading the old fanzines and learning more about fanzine culture. Especially enjoyed this King of the Kippax from 1991.

I know it’s not a real tournament but hard not to get excited about this refreshed city team.

I have real difficulty with ticket inspectors on trains. I have my valid ticket and it’s been inspected but I am now on edge for everyone else in the carriage. I don’t like the assumption that everyone is trying to bunk the fair rather than just having made a mistake. Makes the journey unpleasant.

Classic train whinge but who decides for the day after the fa cup final to run trains back to Manchester one and hour, taking 3 and a half hours? Pushed my 7 year old to the front of the crowd to get one of the last seats in unreserved, realistically he couldn’t stand for 3.5 hours, so we were lucky

I’ve enjoyed this whole series on Great Political Films.This episode with @helenlewis.bsky.social is well worth listening to. The only thing I remember about the first time I watched fight club is going out to buy a copy of where is my mind by the pixies straightaway.

On my run this morning a man standing on the Middlewood way near Middlewood station stops me and asks me “can you show me the way to the nearest road, I’ve never been here before and need to find a taxi.” I would really like to know the events which led him to this predicament.
