Great to see @chadkoh.com running with @protocolsforpublishers.com.

Chad is a huge open protocols advocate, and fortunately he's not completely engineering brained and has been spending time at the Internet Governance Forum and other important venues that are more policy & civil society oriented.

Still collecting these. Don't be shy if you have a question.
I'm going to try a new AMAA(ask me anything atproto) format! I am going to collect 3-5 atproto questions and answer them on a leaflet next week. So feel free to comment, DM, or use @navyfragen.app to send them to me! All questions are welcome, and there are no silly/dumb questions.

Just released a new feature for social link sharing from OpenMeet groups and events. If you're interested in an opensource Meetup.com alternative that integrates with #ATprotocol find us at platform.openmeet.net/groups/openm...
OpenMeet Guides
OpenMeet Guides is a group of early adopters for OpenMeet. OpenMeet is a Meetup.com free alternative. If you're tired of paying to host your small meetups, create a group or host one-time events

Smoke Signal is an event & RSVP platform built on ATProto.

@ngerakines.me just dropped a massive upgrade for organizers & attendees - a new design, profiles, rich text, integrated email notifications, private content for attendees, verified RSVPs, and even MCP support.

Hopefully I've done this correctly in terms of the leaflet setup this time. Here's a first post in a series on T&S on Bluesky.

THIS is an underrated piece of the AT protocol that’s starting to break through. It’s not just that you can move all of your tweets, you can build whole new experiences on the web that you control.
Breakthrough 🤯 You're seeing

- ALL my @leaflet.pub articles 📄
- from ALL my Leaflet publications 📚

on my 🚧 new site (in dev) 🙀 that's

- version-controlled w/ @tangled.org 😳
- (soon) hosted w/ @nekomimi.pet's wisp.place 😱

EVERY PART is stored in my #PDS 🫠
#ATproto is the future!!! WTF 💙

Feeds are one of my favorite features of Bluesky and part of how we're approaching social media differently. This week @graze.social partnered with @wnyc.org and @gothamist.com to create an election feed that stayed on top of the news.
All the news that's fit for feeds
Custom feeds can help surface the most useful information during big news events

Sharp post from Alex about how we’re building an open protocol *and* creating apps and tools on top of that. All at once!

FTR the app-view is up and has been for a few weeks.
Ingesting terabytes of social media data is not trivial.
I've worked to re-implement some experimental work by Divy into rsky-ingester, rsky-backfiller, and rsky-indexer

When it's production ready, it'll move off of staging.blacksky.community

This pretty much sums up why I’m excited to be working at Bluesky. I’m under no illusion that we’ve solved the fundamental problems of social media, I do think we’ve got a unique opportunity to connect people in better ways.
I’ve been on a ~journey~ with social media lately, in part linked to burnout and my own serious concerns about how it‘s harming our information ecosystem and therefore the human race.

But I have to say that at times like this, Bluesky’s ability to surface important news is now unmatched.

Kind of cool that on a day that the site is celebrating democracy, the AT protocol community is at IETF helping to form shared governance for the specs!

Bit of a whirlwind news day yesterday, mostly dominated by the U.S. elections. This custom feed for the NYC mayoral race built using @graze.social showcases how to filter and focus during a live event.
