I see current issues as growing pains & immaturity. Building out ATmosphere, @graze.social, @blackskyweb.xyz + initiatives like #FreeOurFeeds, @protocolsforpublishers.com, & @eurosky.social can make this ecosystem far more universally tunable to all communities.

When we were planning the August edition of @protocolsforpublishers.com we knew that being in the US wasn’t going to work for a lot of people.

@chadkoh.com is running with it & now has set a date for London in early February.

The internet runs on creators, and creators depend on their fans. But that relationship has always been locked inside platforms who didn't build it and don't deserve to own it. We're taking the first step in changing that with a new experiment: ATProtoFans 🧵
👋 Hello, Bluesky! We're ATProtoFans, a new way to support creators you love.

How it works: you make a one-time payment, and both you and the creator get a permanent, verifiable record stored in your ATProtocol accounts.

“The media outlets of the Fascintern — X, Meta, Google — are all structured to exert strong editorial control according to their business and political preferences. These systems … [are] _not at all_ like a public space.”

Robin walks through the faulty mental models for staying on Fascintern media
2025 is coming to end and some people who claim not to be fascists are still associating themselves with fascist outlets like X.

I claim, perhaps charitably, that it's because they don't understand how the internet works. Either way, this needs to change.
