All corporate CEOs should understand: If you agree to attend an event at the White House, you are very likely to be filmed nodding appreciatively at a delusional racist rant. If you're ok with that, go. If not, you probably should stay away.

Imagine #MSNBC @thebeat.msnbc.com and you have the guy who got beat by #AOC lecturing on why Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries should stay in leadership of the Democrats. It's just too funny.

A disgusting group of self interested nincompoops.
Does the Democratic Party not understand it’s on notice too?!
31 House Dems just voted to promote Trumpʻs occupation of DC! Call them. Go to their offices and townhalls. Hold them accountable!

My disgust with Ezra Klein only grows. He is, candidly, both stupid and incompetent—with a knack almost exclusively for obscuring the fact that he’s either of those things.

I already wrote my own essay on this, but I’ll hold off on publishing it for now. I want to let it sit a bit, first.

For now:
NEW: No, Charlie Kirk was not practicing politics the right way. That's what Ezra Klein said. We can condemn this heinous assassination but also recognize that with his 2020 election denialism and extremist rhetoric, Kirk built his movement with falsehoods and in a wrong and divisive manner.
No, Charlie Kirk was not practicing politics the right way
His assassination deserves full condemnation; his full impact should not be sidestepped.

I have a couple of comments about the "free speech hero" narrative about Charlie Kirk.

First, was Charlie Kirk really notable for supporting the free speech of people he disagreed with? I haven't noticed that, though I could have missed it.

Trump essentially boasts about shaking down Intel for $11 billion.

"But I said I think it would be good if we owned 10% of your company, and he said I’ll make that deal... And then I was criticized by some of the fake news immediately, that’s not the American way. Actually, it is the American way!"

good. not only @cherijacobus.bsky.social saying this now

we're in an environment where information is THE key...and disseminating the TRUTH during this period is absolutely paramount

whatever the dem "rapid response TF" was supposed to be is a joke
A Democratic Party with any spirit would stage a press conference every single day to present Donald Trump with one sarcastic award after another.

The Dennis Hastert Award for Enabling Pedophilia
The Richard Nixon Memorial Trophy for Lawlessness
The Blue Ribbon for Setting a Record Federal Deficit
Trump: Since 1978 the Kennedy Center honors have been amongst the most prestigious awards. I wanted one, never able to get one. I would have taken it. I waited and waited and waited and I said to hell with it, I'll become chairman. I will give myself an honor. Next year we'll honor trump, okay?
