About last night: UNC Women’s basketball cruises 102-49 over Gardner-Webb in season opener. Heels worked hard causing 33 turnovers, fans were happy season has begun. Game was attended by Erin Matson, Jalen Washington and RJ Davis, who is seen below giving Deja Kelly a well-earned postgame hug.

one thing i didn’t include in the ‘readers breaking up with news’ piece and should have is that the basic unit of trying to read words on a lot of websites is hot garbage. look at the ads/pop-ups on this Variety story!

Life saving miracle medicine went OTC this year. Reverses effects of overdoses. CVS, Walgreens, etc - pick some up.

They also worked so much so that tobacco companies actually lobbied against being able to advertise for tobacco on TV because it also eliminated the counter-programming they were legally forced to fund.
Occurs to me, as the parent of two teens, that Gen Z is the first generation that's too young to have any memory of that Truth anti-smoking campaign. By many, many accounts, that shit *worked*.
