Reminder: jury nullification won't be in your jury instructions and is not something you're allowed to talk about in court. If you bring up jury nullification during jury selection, you WILL be thrown off the jury.

Want to nullify? Just vote to acquit. That's all nullification is: a vote to acquit.
It’s a great time to talk to your family and friends about jury nullification 👍

Remember this iconic photo from Ferguson? This is Edward Crawford, throwing back a tear gas canister to protect some nearby kids.

Like many identified Ferguson protesters and organizers, he was "found dead" a couple years later and neither the cops nor the media will ever investigate.

Reminder that while the “He Gets Us” ads pretend to be “inclusive”/care about everyone, up until 2024, the group that ran them (The Servant Foundation) donated over $60 million to an anti-abortion, anti-contraception, anti-LGBT rights conservative legal advocacy group (Alliance Defending Freedom).

ASL interpreters who work in the arts (concerts, opera, theatre, etc) deserve to be valued as artists too. it takes so much skill to be this good at capturing the FEEL of music beyond just translating the meaning of the text and it’s an invaluable accessibility service

Generally we think of alt-text as the domain of those with accessibility needs.

However alt-text is useful for many reasons, which benefit your viewers, as well as you, the creator!

"If a journalist calmly and truthfully explaining the problems with an industry or the problems of a company, with no embellishment, just explaining what the problem is directly to camera, comes off as a threat or comes off as a motive, then perhaps that industry is the problem."

TMZ contacted Sean Morrow, a reporter for the nonprofit newsroom More Perfect Union, saying it had multiple tips tying him to the killing of Brian Thompson.

People often forget that your average tech bro has more in common with people living in poverty than they do with millionaires.

Tech bros are often the first to forget this, but at the end of the day, an injury or illness will bankrupt them as fast as it would a teacher or janitor.

“I don’t want to pay for other people’s healthcare!”

This is something I often see people say in opposition to single-payer healthcare.

Thing is, if you have health insurance, you’re paying for other people’s healthcare AND the insurance company is taking some for themselves.
