If you're in line and reading Bluesky, I'm guessing you already know that you should stay in line.

Thurmond was the same age as Booker when he set the record Senator Cory Booker just broke.

Thurmond was afforded a bathroom break and read from the encyclopedia. Booker held the floor the entire time and delivered a consistent, cogent speech for more than 24 hours.

Incredible.

Senator Corey Booker blew past S. Thurm-bag’s “record”. How long was Sen. Booker’s filibuster? It looks to me like about 24:40. Where’s the exact number?

One major sign that the Democratic party is run by the wrong people is that the willingness of current leadership to deny leadership posts to AOC is inversely related to the enormous energy and enthusiasm of crowds she draws across the country and her ability to pinpoint exactly what we need to do.

Also if you feel strongly about Eric Adams, you should call your city councilmember to express that and ask for their position.

You’d be surprised. Hochul’s stance is highly disappointing but it doesn’t come from nowhere. Press all your electeds. City elections are in 5 months. Ask candidates too.

Going to be interesting to see how the administration responds
