This hurts. My Dad taught his whole career in both Bly and Bonanza, Oregon. If he was still alive, I know he would be fighting like hell for these schools
These rural areas of Oregon that just got screwed over by House Republicans voted approximately 70/30 for Trump and other Republicans last month.
Counties and schools in rural Oregon (and 40 other states) to lose millions in federal money in 2025 after Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives failed to reauthorize a 24-year-old bill that typically pays up to $80 million a year to the state.
