Submission done ☑️ The frustration I have toward a certain political party so set on division and social disharmony is immense…so I feel such a great sense of satisfaction opposing this abomination of a bill. #ToituTeTiriti ✊🏼

New Zealand’s new right-leaning coalition government is abandoning a world-leading plan to outlaw smoking for future generations, in a move health experts say is a retrograde step that will cost the country billions of dollars in health care.
Groundbreaking smoking ban abandoned in New Zealand’s swing to the right
The new government halted a plan to outlaw smoking, a move critics call “a huge win for the tobacco industry” and “an act of idiocy” for public health.

Unbelievably f*cked up what Twitter/X has become. How can this shit be tolerated?!? It’s become a cesspit with almost no accountability for harassment, threats of violence or posting abhorrent content. Also TW if you’re clicking on the Twitter link
Twitter is not safe. This is fucked up. I am sorry for centering myself. But this feels like a threat. I cannot be all things to all people so i bounced from twitter. I hope this place remains small and safer.

The #kakapo at Maungatautari are keeping us on our toes! Last week Manaaki was found outside of the fence and returned inside. We suspect he used a tree to jump the fence, so further tree trimming is underway and we’re closely monitoring all 10 birds in this new population. 📸 DOC. #conservation
