Strongly recommend authors & illus work to develop a thick skin; it's the only way to stay sane in the book publishing industry.

Before hiring anyone to do anything creative, ask if they use LLMs or generative "A.i." If they do, don't hire them. Their work will be bad and they won't be able to improve it because "A.i." doesn't work that way. Trash trash trash.

yesterday I had a new client tell me that they got scammed by a “designer” who used AI to create a logo for them, but had no skills to make any requested edits, or provide the right kind of files to make it usable. who then ghosted them.

a small arts nonprofit that teaches kids. ugh.
