One of the nicest publishing things that has ever happened to me was when Unbridled Books published a new edition of my first novel, Hunger, which Little Brown had let go out of print. I love to see a press doing this, so send Split/Lip Press something if you're a good match for this.
Big news for authors with out-of-print prose books looking for a new home:

We're opening up submissions to our Lost/Found imprint on 9/3! We were so happy to rehome Brooke Shaffner's COUNTRY OF UNDER last year + now we're ready to rehome more.

Full details forthcoming, but the pertinent ones are:

I will never forget that the week Qatar decided to bribe the president of the United States with a plane, CNN decided to focus on the age and health of an ex-president.

Shame.

Been listening to a lot of #SteveGoodman (z’’l) today. No specific reason, I just love his music. I’d totally forgotten how much fun “Let’s Give A Party” is, and “The Dutchman” always reduces me to tears. Beats John Prine’s “Hello in There” for tragic aging songs. Fight me on that one.

Friendly reminder that in addition to wrecking what little trust is left in government, the IRS has said DOGE already cost the government half a trillion dollars with all their meddling.
The IRS has agreed to share information with ICE to help locate people for deportation, court records show, a fundamental change in how the tax collector uses its tightly regulated records. nyti.ms/3XQ9vWk
