The International Residential Code (1&2 family), which controls townhomes, is much lower cost than International Building Code, which controls multifamily.

This isn’t true globally - @stephenjacobsmith.com’s shows building costs per unit decrease with density everywhere but US/Can.

Like there is really no disagreement among genuine specialists on this stuff around “we do in fact need more air conditioning access globally AND we need to do these other things.”

But the main point is that you can’t do the other things and skip the AC without causing mass death.

It’s a fundamentally antisocial and regressive worldview. Nothing can ever be better than it is now and I will oppose any effort to improve to my last breath. With a very strong dose of not wanting to be anywhere near people who are different from them

As of May 31 (Coristine & Farritor) and April 10 (Shaotran), the trio officially became full-time federal employees. Their roles at the General Services Administration (GSA) are now permanent.

And they’re not exactly entry-level.
