Great meeting with Minister François-Philippe Champagne about how Canada’s third-largest city is also its fastest growing. Good discussion about the critical investments our city needs to continue to lead our country's growth, support our economy and ensure Calgary remains the engine Canada needs.

Great to connect with representatives from the Calgary Firefighters Association during a break in today’s Council meeting. We talked about how vital it is to keep investing in emergency services and supporting those who protect our city every day. #yyccc

Each November, the Field of Crosses lines Memorial Drive with thousands of crosses, each one honouring a neighbour who gave their life in service. Walking among them reminds us that our freedom was paid for by real people, with families, dreams, and futures cut short. Our duty is to remember. #yyccc

Tonight, we mark 87 years since Kristallnacht — the Night of Broken Glass — when hate shattered lives, synagogues, and communities. Here in Calgary, we recommit to standing against antisemitism and all forms of hatred, so that history's darkest nights are never repeated. #NeverAgain #yyccc

It was great to visit with Premier Danielle Smith yesterday evening at the Field of Crosses. A powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by those who served, and of our shared duty to honour them through service to our communities and one another. #LestWeForget #yyccc

It was great to drop in at my home Rotary Club at Heritage Park this morning, this time as Greeter! Rotary embodies what makes Calgary special: service, connection, and a shared commitment to community. Grateful for the warm welcome and for all Rotarians do to make our city better. #yyccc

Yesterday, Councillor Kelly (vice chair of the Executive Committee) and I spoke with Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Good conversation on federal commitments and collaboration on affordable housing, community safety, and infrastructure investments, including our energy industry.

Wishing all Sikh Calgarians a wonderful Gurparab; the birthday of the first Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev. His teachings are a reminder to us all to earn an honest living, give thanks and share what you have with others.

Mayor Jeromy Farkas keeps saying Calgary will welcome its 2,000,000th resident in 2029. I used it as an excuse to dig into something that's been bugging me for awhile: why is it so difficult to pinpoint Calgary's exact population? #yyccc
What is Calgary’s population, really? | The Sprawl
A surprisingly vexing question.

It was great to catch up at City Hall with two standout Jewish community leaders, Rabbi Menachem and Rebbetzin Rochel Matusof. Grateful for their friendship and all they do to bring light and joy to our city. I'm looking forward to this year’s Menorah lighting at City Hall. #yyccc
