I don't typically engage with gross personal attacks, but it's necessary to correct this trolling and misinformation.

Both Mayor Gondek and I reviewed the written agreement and came to the same conclusion. Our non-political civil service also confirmed it.

Happy Family Day, Calgary.

Today I am thinking of Mary Kovacs, my nagymama, the Hungarian word for grandmother.

More than sixty years ago, she left Hungary to build a new life for our family in Canada. She left behind everything she knew and started over with a young family in tow.

I was blessed to attend the world premiere of The Tale of the Gifted Prince at Theatre Calgary. It was magical, heartfelt, and beautifully performed.

Really inspiring to meet the cast & crew backstage. See the culmination of years of craft and preparation:

One of my favourite parts of being mayor is getting to host visitors to City Hall! I enjoyed recently hosted a tour of the Mayor's Office floor, and it was great to meet many of Calgary’s future leaders. I'm working on re-establishing regular open houses; let me know if you'd be interested! #yyccc

Stopped by Boogies Burgers in Marda Loop for the first time last night to check out their submission for the YYC Hot Chocolate Fest in support of Calgary Meals on Wheels! Calgary's sweetest community fundraiser runs now through February. yychotchocolate.com #yychotchocolatefest

My heart goes out to the people of Tumbler Ridge and everyone affected by the devastating tragedy in their community. We are mourning lives lost, standing with those who were injured, and holding close the families whose worlds have been changed forever.

First time trying Viet Cuisine off Rundlehorn Dr NE with the family and it did not disappoint. Big flavours, generous portions, and fast, friendly service. Highly recommend the #27 — easy new favourite. Support local!

Back at my old stomping grounds, Bishop Carroll High School, for closing night of Little Shop of Horrors! Incredible student-led set design, costumes, and choreography. Audrey II was WOW!!! So proud of these students and their creativity and talent on stage.

Calgary's at the table. I'm in Ottawa today with big city mayors from coast to coast. We're working as Team Canada to advance safer communities and infrastructure, more homes people can afford, & strong economic growth. Cities are where challenges show up first and where solutions can move fastest.

Great to host community leaders from the Chinatown Working Group. We talked investment, safety, dedicated resources, and strong programming to bring the cultural plan to life. Chinatown’s history matters, and its future does too. We’re committed to supporting a vibrant, welcoming district for all.

On my way in from Westbrook LRT.

Today, we’re actioning the water report to strengthen system reliability and help prevent future breaks.

Tomorrow, I travel to Ottawa and Toronto to meet with big city mayors, pushing infrastructure, housing and public safety, and advocating for Calgary& Alberta.

I was joined by community leaders today to proclaim February as Black History Month. Here & across Canada, we celebrate the achievements, culture, and leadership of Black communities, past & present. We also recognize the ongoing work to confront racism, remove barriers, and ensure we all belong.

Great to tour the Glenbow Museum project and see the transformation underway. Incredible progress on a space that will celebrate art, history, and culture in the heart of our city. This investment in Calgary’s creative future is really taking shape. Can’t wait to see it open its doors.

Great to stop by Thai Thien Sub and grab their spicy chicken satay for dinner! It was definitely worth the walk over. Choosing local always makes a difference in our community, and it tastes great too!

On January 29, Calgary marks the National Day of Remembrance of the Québec City Mosque Attack. Our sister city lost 6 men at prayer in 2017 in an act of hate. We stand with Muslim communities. No one should fear for their faith. We remember, stand together, and reject Islamophobia. #yyccc

Yesterday, on behalf of City Council and Calgarians, I proclaimed International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

We remember the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust and all victims of Nazi persecution. As antisemitism rises again, remembrance must come with action.

Hate has no home here. #yyccc

A promise made is a promise kept. Council unanimously voted today to set March 23 as the public hearing date to discuss rolling back blanket rezoning. More details to come. Make your voice heard on this major land-use decision and help shape the future of our city. #yyccc

Our Council team will open this morning's meeting by marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

We remember the 6 million Jews murdered, honour survivors, and confront rising antisemitism at home and abroad.

Remembrance is a responsibility. Hate has no home in Calgary.

It was great to welcome Xàkújághá (Minor Chief) Zachary Manywounds of Tsuut’ina Nation to City Hall today. Strong relationships, respect, and partnership with our Indigenous neighbours shape a better shared future. Grateful for the visit, conversation, and future collaboration. #yyccc

With deep sadness, I join Calgarians in marking the passing of Al Osten, a quiet leader whose generosity helped shape our city’s cultural and community life.

Alongside his life and business partner Buddy Victor, Al believed deeply in sharing good fortune.

We’re moving ahead with microtunnelling for Stage A of the feeder main replacement. This lets us work around major crossings like 16 Ave, the Bow River, Sarcee Trail and rail lines, with targeted surface work. Site setup starts Jan 23. Updates: calgary.ca/BSFMproject
