Like look, Judge has a 1. OPS but a NEGATIVE WPA for the series. He had 1 rbi and 0 runs in the WC and has 2 runs and 1 RBI in the DS. He is their star, he's not doing enough. No one is going to look at him hitting when down 10 or lining some singles sandwiching a bases loaded strikeout as good.

Sure but "shit happens" to Judge every postseason. The Red Sox won a bunch of WS off David Ortiz hitting well with DAMAGE each series. Hitting a bunch of singles when you're aaron judge is not gonna move the needle unless he is hitting them with runners on and ALL THE TIME.

Sure but "shit happens" to Judge every postseason. The Red Sox won a bunch of WS off David Ortiz hitting well with DAMAGE each series. Hitting a bunch of singles when you're aaron judge is not gonna move the needle unless he is hitting them with runners on and ALL THE TIME.
He has a negative WPA for the series because his slashline is empty as fuck. He has 2 run scoring hits in the postseason and one of them was an error generously ruled a single. The yankees had a chance to take Game 1 if they came through with the bases loaded and Judge's failure was a huge moment

Hitting .500 when the bases are empty and you're leading off an inning is great when the rest of the team hits behind you. The Yankees have needed damage and he has 2 run scoring singles and one of them was an error basically. In the moments that could have decided the game he has come up small.
