“Sandwich guy” tells me it was “heartening” to get so much support from his fellow Washingtonians but that he’s “not comfortable” with the “hero” narrative. I asked him if he thought DC residents were registering their dissent by finding him not guilty, he said “perhaps.”

American politics would clearly be better if conservative think tanks, advocacy shops, and media were unionized. To do this, you'd obviously need a union that isn't aligned with Democrats or progressive advocacy generally. So, I don't know, maybe the Teamsters could do it
