Hi, I'm the problem. Putting the "wreck" in (library) director since 2024.
Hey do you think managers need to remind staff about timesheets, especially if the time periods are always the same and staff has been here forever? I can see for shorter time periods, like holiday weeks and stuff like that...

Please clap at all the phone calls that I've been putting off for months, and took care of in less than 15 min.

Granted, 2 messages were left but I did book 3 overdue appointments AND start with one new practice.

Yay day off lol.

Lolsob was thinking the same thing
So nice of them to annihilate the Institute of Museum and Library Services just in time for National Library Week.

Omg this was an awesome part of my time at #ProvidenceCollege, reading the carrels at the library
A University of Virginia professor enlisted students to document the messages—profane, hopeful, despairing—left on library carrels by previous generations and you can browse all 3000+ of them.

To be size inclusive, this ED waiting area has some extra wide chairs. I like!

(See this is DEI, I don't need the chair but I appreciate it for those who DO. Especially as, at times, I have been squeezed into seating)

Careful!!! Sometimes volunteers can hurt a library--the PTB think "oh we don't need paid professional staff, just get more volunteers."
p.s. they also probably need volunteers! That’s how I spend most Sunday mornings these days. ;)

Dear publishers who have not supported libraries. I will just say you will go down with us. We buy a lot of books. You better start supporting us and your authors more.

Come to bluesky, you'll see it's 90 days.

Lmfao when your boss's brother just got a job on one of your favorite shows...and you're wondering how much of boss brother's background actor brother is using for character development...since it's similar. Art imitating life???

Anyone who is an admin for their library's hoopla account: do you know if you can see how many users reach the max each month? I know my lib account is being used and used well, just curious how many are getting the maximum out of the service.
Thank you!

When the system actually works!

I am probably the only weirdo who misses my old job's HDHP vs new one's copay plan since I have to handle more admin tasks with this one, but at least they are refunding nearly 10 out of 15 visits for hubs' OON therapist.
