I’m disappointed to hear this. I wonder why it is little better than first past the post?? Is it due to HTV cards? Or a lack of education about how pref voting works???
Australia's preferential voting system is often praised, and for good reason. But in terms of reflecting overall votes cast it's not much better than first past the post.

Great footage. The crowd estimates have gone from 100,000 to 300,000. That is a big push to the pollies to do the right thing and apply immediate sanctions on Israel and stop selling the feckers any more ammo!
What I find depressing beyond words is the fact evildoers like Jillian Segal, Mark Leibler, the AJA, ECAJ, AIJAC, Netanyahu et al. as well as those in Washington have the ear of @albomp.bsky.social and @senatorwong.bsky.social, but the good people of Australia do not.
