Let me put it into perspective: 23-year-old Jack Teixeira, a Massachusetts Air National Guardsman, was sentenced to 21 years in prison in November for posting classified info on Discord. Meanwhile, Elon Musk shares classified info, and we just shrug. This isn’t a culture war; it’s a class war.

Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons:

-We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S.

-The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.

Stop letting unfunny men tell you there’s something wrong with you for not getting their “jokes”. Stop fake laughing. Let their reality reflect the truth of how fundamentally they misunderstand humor. Neuter their ability to use “it was a joke” for emotional cover. Make them see nobody laugh.

That time I asked a D.O. to wear a mask for our appointment, when his face would be close to mine for at least 20 minutes, and he passive-aggressively asked if I have Covid, and when I said no and added that HE could have asymptomatic Covid, the way he looked at me made me never want to return.
