It was a beautiful Sunday in Portland. Farmer’s markets, the Portland Marathon, peaceful protests, and some views of Mt. Hood. This city is vibrant, peaceful, and resilient. We do not need a federal occupation, and we sure as hell don’t want one.

A grim reminder: these people will never be satisfied. There’s no point at which they will say “we’ve won, let’s enjoy life.” They will always be looking for someone else to punish, to revile, to dehumanize. They’re empty without that.

Texas has had a trifecta (the governorship & majorities in their House & Senate) for over two decades with 38 congressional districts.
By that logic if Texas wants 5 seats redrawn & Cali's had a trifecta for nearly 20 years with 52 congressional districts, Cali should redraw all 9 GOP seats. Fair.
