I see we're being told piracy is good, actually, or we get exposure,or it's a compliment that someone wants our work enough to steal it.

1)No.
2)People die of exposure.
3)No. It's entitlement.

Would you walk into someone's house, take a book and leave? Theft is theft.

Please sign this petition to save the Honours Classics program at the University of Ottawa, the same program from which I graduated in 2003. This is also the only program in Ontario that delivers Greek and Latin training to Franco-Ontarians, and its loss would be immeasurable for that community.

The concept also has non-religious legs, so to speak: theconversation.com/how-giving-l...

(Although if corporations can be legal persons, then rivers and lagoons and lakes definitely should. I think religions offer sensible shorthand for this logic, but what do I know.)
How giving legal rights to nature could help reduce toxic algae blooms in Lake Erie
Should lakes, rivers and other resources have legal rights? New Zealand, Ecuador and other countries have taken this step. Now Toledo, Ohio is a US test case.
