Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

Still trying to figure out what I feel like posting on here. Lots of thoughts going on in my brain these days…

But for now, you’ll just have to enjoy my rabbit’s foot fern. Finally starting to recover after I neglected it.

Self-censorship often arises from fear of social, legal, or political repercussions. Individuals may silence themselves to avoid judgment, isolation, or retaliation, prioritizing personal safety over expression. This reflects the pervasive power of oppressive structures in limiting dissent.

Self-censorship undermines resistance by stifling critical voices and limiting collective action. When individuals silence themselves, the movement loses diversity of thought, weakening its ability to challenge oppressive structures and effect meaningful change.

No group has a monopoly on assholes.

Is so-and-so autistic? Maybe. Maybe.

But if that same person also shows signs of being a fascist, that's a whole 'nother thing.

Autism is not a "I get to be an asshole for free" card, and any attempt deserves calling out as such.

Perhaps the withdrawal of the USA from so many institutions and funding priorities should not be seen by Canada as a crisis, but as an opportunity. We can now strive to achieve global leadership on several fronts, some of them even profitable.

Here, I’m thinking of sharing personal passions like shibari and rope art—but I wonder how it’s treated in feeds.

Does it show automatically? Can followers filter content they might not appreciate?
