I often see people tempted to rely on what authority they have to force “progress” for their awesome idea. There are too many reasons why this almost never works. People often forget that ideas are the easy part.

An important part of professional growth is realizing being right doesn’t matter if you can’t get people to listen to you.

It’s 9am TFT time here, and citizens are already gathering to protest Tariffs by the United States. Our plain clothes Officer Penguins are attempting to maintain calm, but unfortunately we keep losing them in the crowd.

This is a good baseline indeed. I like surveying devs as another metric. I ask them to capture how they spent their time (their last work day) based on a few buckets. These buckets are either value generating or non value generating time. I find it a valuable measurement.

Flying home on a Sunday morning is a nice way to travel for business. I need to remember this in the future. It is an extra day away from my family but it is nice to spend a Saturday in a distant place.

I want to live in a world where authors can easily sell me their books in convenient forms, while the platform that makes it happen takes a reasonable convenience fee. Some say I am a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.

Exited to be at a show at the world famous Comedy Store on Sunset Blvd. Hopefully it can take a little sting out of a very long week.
