I like the breakdown. A good addition would be to document some high level guidance on choosing what a good mix of tests means for your team and code.

Visiting the museum made it very obvious to me how make-able of a shot it was.

I think this take hits it on the head. There are plenty of statements in my current feed that I don’t agree with. I have disagreed with people here more than on X in my final days there. X made disagreeing very difficult.

In all fairness to the new guy, he hasn’t had the big opportunity to show us how bad he can really be ;). Yet.

I do know some genuinely nice people that will vote for him. Mostly because they get a lot of their info from bad sources. Facebook has done some real damage to Canadian society.

This man will be the worst leader we have had in my lifetime. Perhaps Canada’s lifetime. He is destined to win with a strong majority. F Trudeau sticker guys are very excited for this man to lead us, that alone should give us nightmares.

Broadening horizons is more than just political. There are more productive conversations here than on X. When it comes to political, both extremes take up all the air on x. I was done with X either way, I’m glad Bluesky is here so I can leverage a good platform.

I would add that: there may be a way to pull off a great team that uses a pr approach. But they would be slow. It is much easier to build a great team without the pr code review process and get much better outcomes, including quality. Another benefit, it is a lot more fun and dynamic.

I prefer a post-commit review where the committer shares things that may be of interest to the team. We will quickly pass over the code they think is less interesting. I think this works best with 90 minutes a day of pairing. Small prs and test automation are important for this to work well.

This is such a shame, but I guess I need to buy a good reading light for bed time. At least when my wife gets mad about my reading light, I can tell her that she needs to support authors and accept the light radiating from my reading. :)

This is good. This is very good indeed.

There is so much going on in this picture. It is hard to even know where to start.

What are better alternatives to give more to the creators and not lose too much convenience.
