I'm thrilled, I saw my first ever Ring Ouzel late this afternoon! 😀😍
It's amazing that this beauty turned up at RSPB Ham Wall in Somerset, as they usually only stop off on migration on high ground, such as The Mendip Hills.🐦
It put on a great show as it feasted on berries! 😍

This Prom began as wish.

It’s been an incredible journey - one that led me (eventually!) to the @royalalberthall.bsky.social with London Contemporary Orchestra and Robert Ames, where we performed all three albums from start to finish.

Exciting news from Woodberry Wetlands!

Earlier this week a pair of avocets were spotted wading in the shallows of the reservoir - a first for the wetlands

The only other sighting we've had before this was a brief flyover - nearly 10 years ago!

We just need to allow it happen.

Great few hours birding at Normandy Marsh, Hampshire last week.

Stunning views of Curlew Sandpiper and Little Stint. Also Eider, Whimbrel, Bar-tailed Godwit, and great to see so many Avocet chicks! 🤩

Diving Whiskered Tern!😍
This evening I visited Durleigh reservoir in Somerset, not far from my home, to see if I could see this very rare bird, a first for me!😀
Light was poor and the Tern was distant at first, but it started to come closer before diving in front of me! 😊🐦
