We find driving to Hampshire down the motorways a consistent 60MPH gets us to our destination no slower than if we whiz.
This book had perhaps the biggest effect any book ever has had on me. After reading it I began driving everywhere at no more than 60mph. I defy anyone to read it and to not do the same. If the environmental argument doesn't get you, though why it wouldn't is beyond me, the economics surely will.

A brilliant example of what Lewis Goodall talks about when he argues why right-wing radicals keep winning. They don't play by the rules and simply don't care. Whereas the institutions they want to destroy do even when said rules are contorted to absurdity and are blatantly being used against them.
The founder of Newsmax was just on the Today programme pontificating about bias. Boy, the BBC loves to submit itself to flagellation.

Trump wants to destroy the BBC and take our money. And Nigel Farage is egging him on.

All true patriots should tell them both: hands off our BBC.

Excellent analysis of this unfolding horror show
What you’re witnessing is a populist assault on the BBC.

This is not an institutional scandal in any meaningful sense of the word. It is an attack on public service broadcasting.

With a return to the Pliocene locked-in, the only meaningful question is, will we stop there or maintain BAU until a return to the Middle Miocene becomes inevitable or - ultimately - the early Eocene?

If the latter, this is what the UK will eventually look like

Hynam = “meadow belonging a religious household” Here is that meadow beside River Gelt. Dates back to the time of the canons of Lanercost Priory. Track leading up through the woods above has long been known as the Monks Yrod.
