Giving $20 billion to Argentina didn't require congressional approval according to Bessent, but of course he says it does when it involves giving money to ordinary Americans. These guys are so predictable.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that President Donald Trump’s proposal to issue $2,000 tariff rebate checks to most Americans would require Congress’ approval. https://cnn.it/4peqsoH

Back at Disney. Zootopia Better Together makes zero sense. It's a watch party, but the stage stuff can interact with the streamed video? There's no consistency. It's a mess.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the "settlement" Trump is going to pay himself happens to be essentially the same amount as the White House ballroom donations.

If you have to lobby for or demand the Nobel Peace Prize, you probably don't deserve it.

Rewatching the Back to the Future movies and while Donald Trump is pretty much Biff Tannen, there is one glaring difference. Biff can run a successful casino.

I went to my first hurling match at Croke Park, I saw the Wolfe Tones live in Limerick, but I just had my first spice bag so I think I've truly experienced Irish culture this trip. Love you guys, I hope to be back soon.

There’s just so much shady shit in this story, but this really sticks out. Folks in NLRB’s IT unit were so freaked out by what they saw DOGE doing that they wanted to notify the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Then this happened:

I would just like to point out that "zealous advocacy" does not include lying to the court. To zealously advocate ethically, an attorney still has to operate within the facts of the case, even if they look bad for their client.

Just going to repost this because it still holds.
It makes more sense when you realize they're trying to create the conditions for societal breakdown and economic collapse so they can build a new corporate feudalist system from the wreckage.

Just so everybody understands, Booker has been speaking cogently about the issues the entire time and Strom Thurmond famously spent hours reading from the encyclopedia, because segregationists were and are dumbshits
If Sen. Cory Booker makes it to 7:19 p.m. EST, he will break segregationist Dixiecrat Strom Thurmond's record for his 24 hour 18 minute Senate floor speech against the Civil Rights Act of 1957.

If you're not watching Senator Booker right now, you're missing something special

Almost 24 hours in and Senator Booker is spitting fire. Actually inspiring stuff happening here.

The men carrying out Musk's coup are Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger, and Ethan Shaotran.

Make them famous. And, eventually, when possible, arrest them and charge them with multiple felonies. www.wired.com/story/elon-m...
