When I see someone "successfully" losing weight, I often feel envy. I don't want to reengage with dieting, I don't want to do that to my body. To my Self. But.
I will always have part of myself that wants skinniness. I still live in this culture, even as I reject it. It's annoying and painful.

When I see someone "successfully" losing weight, I often feel envy. I don't want to reengage with dieting, I don't want to do that to my body. To my Self. But.

I recently recommended Midnight Mass to a friend, as one of my favourite shows. But then I felt unsure, had I exaggerated its quality to myself? So I watched it (for the fifth time?) and it is indeed very good. I feel better.

It seems impossible that I'd say this, but I think there's too much ham in my scalloped potatoes!
Also I made a proper au gratin roux, with garlic and melted onions and so. much. gruyere.
And it is delicious, but mostly indistinguishable from using a can of condensed soup. So 🙃
