I'm playing around with Caleb Madrigal's "Fuzzy Graph" graphing "nonbinary" calculator. Rather than plotting where y equals f(x) (a binary condition), it shades the plot according to how close y is to f(x). fuzzygraph.com

Anti-Trans DARVO Examples

‘DARVO’ is an anagram for a common tactic used by abusers:

Deny (everything)
And
Reverse
Victim and
Offender

It is also a part of the propaganda campaign used by anti-trans proponents. 1/17

I just found out that the White House is in Bluesky. Took a look: only Trumpist propaganda. Blocked with gusto. Will unblock after Trump is defenestrated from office.

As of today I've been using Debian as my main OS for a whole year, and I cannot express how much better Unix-like systems are compared to the Windows way of Using A Computer. It's not even close.

Won't even get into the FOSS or telemetry aspects, too many things to mention so I'll just do a few...

Let's look at how much it costs to produce a button-up shirt in the US. 🧵

I hate it when people say minimum wage jobs are entry level jobs or jobs for teenagers.

That is not what minimum wage was designed to be. It's supposed to be the minimum salary to lead a decent life--not just survival

It's hard to help Americans left behind because so much of US identity is rooted in individualism. The average American conservative holds all three positions at once:

— Virtue signals about supporting US manufacturing
— Against raising the minimum wage
— Buys foreign imports because they're cheap

Do you ever think about the fact that Wikipedia is the last good major website on the internet? You aren't bombarded with ads. It doesn't try to push video on you, and it doesn't redirect you to a scam site.

It's worse. This graph is from an Axios post that is attached to a study that is built around this logical fallacy: Why is left-wing violence up? Historical context does not matter, and a chart from the same study makes the misdirection clear.

White House Deputy Press Secretary seen here posting data showing how much more prevalent right wing domestic terrorism is than left wing domestic terrorism... while thinking she's showing the reverse.

Apparently she can only read headlines, but not the actual graph with the data.
