On June 6, 81 years ago,
US and allied troops landed on Normandy to make a northern offensive against fascist Nazi Germany.

I am outraged to read on this anniversary that US troops are being called on in our own country in the name of xenophobic fascism.
ICE is denying people the right to due process, abducting and trafficking them to foreign countries and locking them up indefinitely in dangerous prisons.

Now they’re preparing the military to deploy on US soil and in our communities to help.

This is authoritarianism.

Most of the draconian cuts kick in just AFTER the Nov. 2026 midterms. They are so cowardly they don't want the impacts felt before the election. They ARE ashamed of their brutality. So let people know, loudly in every midterm, what's coming to them and WHO DID IT.

If the GOP Tax Scheme is so beautiful, then why are they voting on it in the wee hours of the morning? Maybe because it’s irredeemably ugly and cruel.

1am can be a beautiful, quiet, even magical time. But the magic doesn’t mean that math is not math, that accountability doesn’t matter, or that we don’t need to protect Medicaid from a GOP eager to gut its funding to fill the trough at which the richest continue to feed a hunger they’ll never sate.
See you at 1 AM, yes, you read that right, when Republicans take up the spending bill, which includes
a provision that would restrict courts from holding gov’t officials in contempt for violating court orders—possibly explaining the subterfuge. www.justsecurity.org/113529/terri...

How many could lose healthcare via the #MedicaidMassacre bill in the 29 most vulnerable GOP-held House districts?
So, late last night, the House Budget Committee voted to advance the Republican budget bill (aka the #MedicaidMassacre bill) to the House Rules Committee by 17-16 along party lines, with 4 Republican ...

Let’s break this down—because the gaslighting is wild:

📌Oct 2022 – Biden signs EO to cut drug prices

📌Jan 2025 – Trump takes office and kills Biden’s EO to cut drug prices

📌May 2025 – Trump signs his own EO to lower drug prices

Trump canceled Biden’s plan then brought it back w/his name on it.

… it’s not a secret that intellectual elitism hurt Democrats in ‘24. We successfully turned-off younger male voters, but I haven’t figured out how to ‘inform’ these neighbors… have you?

The old “cannot reason with unreasonable men” dilemma 😐

🧵Update: In Worcester, MA, ICE dragged a mother away from her baby & family—without identifying themselves or showing a warrant. She’s now in San Antonio. The community tried to stop them. They were met with force. Read it. Share it. Never forget it

This is NOT what democracy looks like.

NY-17 Rep. Mike Lawler had a local social worker physically dragged out of his town hall Sunday night.

Emily Feiner was singled out by private security, lifted out of her seat, as the crowd chanted “let her stay” and “shame, shame.”
She’s a constituent.
Not a threat.
Fascism again.

Texas conservatives who've championed book bans & anti-LGBT policies suffered big losses tonight in school board races.

And They seem to have lost their working majorities to pass their policies in big school boards.

I tracked these results in FOUR boards tonight. So a 🧵 on each ICYMI.
