“Trump’s success is due, at least in part, his role in the arbitration of clout” is the sorta thing that will roll around my head for the foreseeable future
Trump himself is why MAGA has a better synergy on this, a lot of what he does is effectively "grant and arbitrate clout." Say nice things about him and maybe you get a re-tweet. Or if you go negative for clout, you may get called out by him and immediately lose your clout war.
