My main political position since middle school civics class has been "I don't think it's good when people die for preventable reasons," and it has dragged me ever leftward in public discourse since

In 1995, I drove from Norman, OK to St Louis, MO to meet up with some friends at an REM concert. It was night, there may have been 10,000 people there, we had made no plans whatsoever about where to find each other, and none of us had cell phones. And things worked out just fine.
What’s a real thing from your childhood that kids these days would find completely foreign?
Like, how we used to be able to walk right up to the gate to meet our family coming off a flight.
Or how we had to pick a spot to meet at the theater BEFORE we went.
