An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. It’s a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

Amazon is helping fund a $300 million build of a ballroom for the White House.

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.

They are not the same.

📌This Ontario, Canada, commercial is the truth, sheer brilliance, and should spread like wildfire across the United States.

Watching the “political violence has no place in America” language with interest.

I’m no historian, but our whole nation is founded on political violence. And has continued to be politically violent ever since.

Curious how “political violence” from a communication perspective shifts.

"Political violence" is a term that exists to suggest a moral distinction between "violence against politicians" and "violence by politicians" - so that one can be condemned while the other can be normalized. Obviously, no such distinction exists in reality: violence is violence.

But be clear: he’s not talking about alternately uplifting Black inventors, builders, and leaders we were never taught about…

But when it’s about Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security, Republicans all of a sudden demand budget cuts.

Billionaires get everything. Working people get nothing.

Trump is going to trump. Resisters need to have a defensive plan but also a strong offense: Doing good, supporting orgs that protect immigrant rights, teaching the truth to youth, preserving history, volunteering to serve unhoused and poor communities. We’ve got to fight this evil with good.
