Writing the first draft in 2021 was an exercise in daring. To try. To believe something could come of it. To hope that readers might resonate with my anxious, ND protagonist.

When I worked at Paul Weiss in 2017, they sent me to the airports to help during the first Muslim ban.

This is the firm that overturned DOMA. I personally got to help research for and draft an amicus brief in support of Obergefell.

This is profoundly disappointing.
