There's also just two minutes to transfer between those two buses on a system whose times are not that precise.

Hisaishi is low-key one of the great film composers. One thing that sticks in my mind is how playful Yoji Yamada's WHAT A WONDERFUL FAMILY is and how inert the Chinese remake seems without him.
Hisaishi, beloved worldwide for his scores for the films of Miyazaki Hayao, scored some of Kitano's masterpieces - and a few that weren't quite as good. But even when the films weren't incredible, the scores were - and they elevated the the content they graced.

Oh my god, I bet that the belches you could burp after a swig of this would be EPIC.
Canada Dry Jamaica Cola (1970-1989): An extra-caffeinated cola from the stalwart ginger ale company, noted for its intense carbonation, in addition to its high caffeine content. Per reports, it was often sold out of ice cream trucks during the summertime.

Come January, Joe Carnahan will have had three movies out within a nine-month period. Is this just an illusion because something sat on the shelf a while, or does he bank scripts while he's in director jail for a few years and then crank 'em out quickly because he knows he'll be back there again?

Today's fun credits - not only does UNDER CURRENTS have someone credited as an "explosionist", but they have two "explosion assistants"!

It is a fake-looking explosion, but being kind of goofy sort of goes with the Francis Ng character who sets it off.

I never know if old comic strips are actively trying to be surreal or just referencing things that are completely forgotten.
"Old Doc Yak" returned to Sidney Smith's fold when it made its debut as the Sunday topper to "The Gumps" on December 7, 1930. ("Old Doc Yak" was Smith's pre-Gumps strip, and in fact Doc sold his house to the Gumps.) Here are the first four Sunday topper strips:

I guess it's not *totally* surprising that this is huge worldwide, but I would have guessed "big", not "juggernaut".
Continuing on with the massive domestic box office success of Kokuho and the newest Demon Slayer, Japan now has a foreign film breaking records: Zootopia 2 took in ¥412 million ($2.6 million USD) on its opening day - the biggest opening day in yen for any foreign animated film.
